Cohort Model

Students will be assigned to a “cohort,” which will correspond to their homeroom class.  Students will remain with their cohort throughout the day and will maintain social distance to prevent the spread of illness.  This strategy helps maintain a safe environment by strictly limiting the interaction between students and allows for rapid response and containment in the event of a student or staff member becoming ill.

There are two different Cohorts for students.

  • Each student’s homeroom is considered Cohort A. Students will be spending a majority of their day in Cohort A.
  • Each student’s grade level is considered Cohort B. Students will be with their Cohort B group for lunch, recess, and possibly Mass.  Please know that students in Cohort B will maintain social distance throughout their time together.
