Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope that our St. Francis de Sales students and their families are staying safe and are doing well at this time. I would like everyone to know that I am here to offer help and support to you during this difficult time. I would like to keep you informed on how I will continue to provide services to our Falcons. As you can imagine, providing school counseling services and activities in a virtual setting presents some challenges and limitations. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we move forward.

I am committed to providing school counseling services and support during our digital learning days. Please know that I am here for you and available to connect. Feel free to contact me for any of your academic and/or social emotional needs during my office hours or by email. I will respond to emails left after regular office hours on the next business day.

I will continue to provide classroom guidance lessons for all students in 2nd through 8th grade. I will send out an optional, prerecorded video to all students.

How to contact your counselor:

  • I am available via email, phone, or zoom.
  • My office hours are M/W/Th from 12-4PM
  • I am available to schedule phone conversations and zoom meetings. Please email me if you would like to connect by phone or virtual meeting so we can establish a convenient time. I will be calling you from a blocked number.
  • Please email me with any concerns. In your email, please include your full name/ child’s full name, your teacher’s name, and your concern/ question.
  • I will respond via email, phone call or send you a link for a virtual meeting.
  • If a virtual Zoom meeting is requested, we can pick a time and I will send an email invitation to a zoom session through the student’s school email account. Please click on the link in the email to join the meeting at the designated time.

Please understand that I will not always be at my computer or by my phone. If your child is feeling very overwhelmed or anxious it is important that they talk with a parent, trusted adult, and/ or read the information below.

Child Guidance & Family Solutions

Child Guidance & Family Solutions will continue to provide services for current families and any new clients interested in counseling. New families may have to go into the office for an intake, but moving forward all services will be provided via telephone.

OhioGuidestone offers Teletherapy as a complement to their in-person counseling services. Teletherapy increases access to care by overcoming barriers to services, such as access to reliable transportation, scheduling conflicts, needing to take time off work, etc. Teletherapy services use online video conferencing technology, much like Skype or FaceTime, to connect individuals to the help they need—anytime, anywhere.
