A Message from Our Principal

katie

Hello Falcon Families!

While it is such an unusual ending to the school year, I don’t want us to forget the many wonderful successes that took place during this school year.  We have seen an abundance of Falcon Five award winners who have represented our school well, Diocesan recognition for high MAP scores and achievement, made huge strides with the use of some great online programs during distance learning, congratulated our 8th graders on their  awards of thousands of dollars in scholarship money to area Catholic High Schools (including 4 students who scored in the top 10% of all high school placement test test-takers) and watched our students rise to the occasion to be creative in their Distance Learning efforts. It has been an awesome year!

All of those successes and all that took place would not be possible without each of you and your incredible children.  The staff and I thank God for you daily! We are excited for the day when we can be back together! Please know that in future communications we will share the most up-to-date local, state, and federal mandates, as well as Ohio Department of Education directives and regulations, with regard to any plans for the 2020-2021 school year.

This letter is to put in one location the information and plans on how this school year will close.

Summer Slide Activities

We cannot thank you enough for all of your hard work with your children during this distance learning time. Though students have been working hard digitally to close out this school year we want to ensure that there are activities provided to them over the Summer to help reduce the Summer Slide. This information will come in a separate email to families the first week of June.

Supplies and Class Lists

We will send out a final list of supplies needed for the 2020-2021 school year by the end of June.

Class lists will be sent digitally through your Gradelink account by the first week of August. There is a lot of time, consideration, and work that goes into creating these lists. We truly feel that we are making choices of homerooms based on the needs of the students. For this reason we are unable to take requests for homerooms, teachers, or make any changes once the lists are posted. Thank you for your understanding of this policy.

I pray that each of you enjoy a healthy, fun, relaxing Summer! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for sticking with us during this time. We are a stronger community because of it!

I am looking forward to a new school year full of hope, learning and love of all of our Falcons!

Many Blessings,
Mrs. Dougherty
