Classroom Saint

Our Classroom Saint is Saint Dominic. He was born in Spain, and was trained for the priesthood by his priest-uncle. In 1216 he founded an order to be named “The Order of Preachers” more popularly known as the Dominican Order. The spread of the Rosary was due to the preaching of St. Dominic. To this day the Dominicans have been instrumental in spreading the rosary and emphasizing the Catholic belief in the power of the rosary.
