Good Afternoon, Falcon Families!
It has been a great week so far here at SFdS and the excitement is surely building for next week's Halloween festivities!
A big congratulations goes out to last week's and this week's Falcon Five AwardRecipients. These students have served as exemplary peers to their classmates and have been recognized by several of our staff members. Way to go, Falcons!
Tonight is our next Marco's Pizza Night! Last month our school earned over $200 from Marco's pizza purchases. This money is being used to send some of our Student Council students to a leadership conference at St. Albert the Great in January. Please consider ordering tonight in order to support our school- directions can be found in today's Thursday folder.

Halloween Parade
It is our St. Francis de Sales tradition to have our entire student body parade outside in their Halloween costumes at 1:30pm, before parties begin. All parents are invited to join us for the parade. Please arrive in the parking lot NO LATER than 1:00pm. Entrances will be blocked off after this in order to make our parking lot safe for all.
Students should bring their costumes to school and will have time to change into them. They should arrive to school in MASS ATTIRE. All costumes must be Catholic school appropriate. Questionable costumes will be left up to the discretion of Administration and students will be asked to change back to Mass attire if a costume is deemed inappropriate. If you have a question about a costume please email me ASAP. Student Council will hold it's annual costume contest again this year.
Halloween Parties
Our Halloween parties will take place on Friday, October 28 from 1:45-2:45pm. Your child's HR teacher will communicate with you about what will take place and needs for the parties. Your child's teacher will also let you know what time to arrive if you are volunteering to help with the party. Preschool students (Mrs. Twigg's class) will celebrate their party on Thursday, October 27. Please be on the lookout for more information from Mrs. Twigg.
Halloween Dress Down Day
Since our Halloween parties fall on the Friday before Halloween we will have a Halloween dress down day on Monday, October 31. Students may dress out of uniform, not in costume, in Catholic School Appropriate clothing. Distressed denim and leggings are not permitted. If a student chooses to wear sweatpants they must be their PE sweats (red or navy).
Thanksgiving Lunch
We have an awesome tradition each year where our whole school gathers to enjoy a Thanksgiving Lunch together. Our all school Thanksgiving Lunch will take place on Thursday, November 17. This year we are in need of a volunteer coordinator to help gather volunteers to set up and serve the luncheon. If you are interested in taking on this very important role and keeping this tradition alive please reach out to me as soon as possible!
The October Lunch calendar is included below.
I pray you have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Mrs. Dougherty
